Scooby is a 4 year old Lurcher cross who is now loving life. He came to us in horrendous condition and we weren’t sure he would make it as he was so weak and listless. The vet reported he would likely have died within a couple of days from starvation.

Scooby came to us with another dog, however as they got stronger we decided it would be best to house them apart although they have remained great friends throughout their recoveries and play well together on our field. He is now at a perfect weight - almost 38kg and has a larger than life character. He loves to play and is great company, loyal and happy.

True to his breed, he loves to run and would need a home with a good amount of space for him to play in the garden. He will need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and occupied.

Scooby is very friendly but also very bouncy, energetic and strong, so he will need a home to reflect his needs. He will be suitable for an experienced home with owners who have an active lifestyle. He can be rehomed with older teenagers who are used to dogs. He can be left for short periods but would do best with someone who is home most of the time to commit to his training going forward.

New owners will need to commit to coming to the Animal Centre to build a bond with him before he goes home.
